More Young Adults Go Into Ministry

In a recent USA TODAY article, The Center for the Study of Theological Education at Auburn University is cited for a ten year analysis on incoming master of divinity students. Their study shows a drop in average age – from 34.14 years in 1999 to 32.19 years in 2009. This marks a trend reversal. I regularly receive great tips on new research as a member of a listserv for theological librarians (Atlantis). Dr. John Jaeger, Doctoral Research and Reference Librarian at Dallas Baptist University is often the source for many of these posts. He has a blog where he lists many of these studies called “Academic Place” which I have linked under the Blogroll list – worth taking a look!
