Friday Recommendation: World Changers Exhibit at APU

APU Special Collections, in partnership with the Legacy Foundation, is hosting a very special exhibit that highlights 21 “World Changers” – Christians who have made a difference in the world. The exhibit includes letters, manuscripts, rare books, photographs, and even larger items – like two beautifully carved chairs given by John Wesley to a French church.

Included in the exhibit are items related to John Wesley (including the chairs and his pocket watch), letters from William Wilberforce, a manuscript of C.S. Lewis, rare editions of John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress, a signed edition of Oswald Chamber’s My Utmost for His Highest, and more.
I have spent some (but not enough!) time in the exhibit already and plan to return a few more times – it really is a wonderful gathering of important source materials for individuals who have shaped the church. I encourage you to drop by and see it!

The exhibit is in the Duke Art Gallery on the APU West Campus. The exhibit can be viewed October 8 – November 1st and is open Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm and Saturday and Sunday between 10am – 5pm.
